For many women of the Maghreb, it is unthinkable to practise the exfoliating scrub without finishing with the ghassoul mask (clay from natural earth from the Arabic ” rassala” which means washing). It is an essential element of the hammam rites. It is used as shampoo and soap.

The ghassoul is a volcanic clay collected in the region of the Middle Atlas in Morocco.

The unique deposit, known all around the world, is in Morocco, at 200 kilometers from Fes. The ghassoul contains no surfactant and cleans according to a physical process by absorbing the impurities and the fats. By doing so, it respects the hydrolipidic film of the skin and hair and do not irritate the sebaceous glands. It is recognized for his soothing and cleaning virtues.

After the exfoliating scrub, you will be covered with clay on your whole body. The clay will be mixed with some rose water orange blossom, patchouli or even lavender. You’ll choose !
